Celebration of Medicine Buddha’s Birthday
The 30th of the ninth month of the lunar calendar is the Birthday of the Medicine Buddha, who vowed to relieve all pain and poverty of the very sick and poor, and establish sentient-beings on the Noble Path towards Enlightenment.
Zhu-Lin temple will celebrate this event on the 7th of November (Sunday) and perform the praying ceremony for health, peace and longevity for all sentient-beings in this world. On the day, the Sutra of the Vows of the Medicine Buddha of Lapis Lazuli Crystal Radiance will be chanted. Everyone is welcome to join the ceremony and share the wisdom of the Buddha-dharma with us. Those who wish to set up a longevity tablet can register at the counter.
