Venerable Jiewen Shi dedicated himself to Buddhism at the tender age of 9 in Fujian province, China. He lived his childhood life in temples. He graduated from Fujian Buddhist Institute, China in 1987. He then furthered his study in the China Buddhist Institute, Beijing. He was the Abbot of Huang Bo Temple (黃檗山萬福寺), Fujian, China, before he was invited to be the Abbot of Zhu-Lin Temple. He is popular between young people for his pleasant, sociable nature and open attitude to Buddhism.
The Vice Abbot: Venerable Jiexian Shi
Venerable Jiexian Shi was graduated from Minnan Buddhist Institute, Xiamen City, China in 1990. Before he was invited to Zhu-Lin temple, he was a senior lecturer in Minnan Buddhist Institute and Fujian Buddhist Institute. His speciality is the Buddhism School of Consciousness-Only. Besides, he is a well recognised poet and brush calligrapher. He published books of poetry in classical Chinese styles both in the main land of China and inTaiwan.
